Job Description: - Applying advanced systems level technical expertise to resolve standard to highly complex customer issues. - Accepting escalation requests from other technical team members as the subject matter expert. - Leading efforts in facilitating problem re-creation and failure analysis systems level issues. - Use knowledge gained from prior job related experience to independently determine service level severity and assess when and how to esacalate to other resources within the organization. - Working closely with engineering and cross functional team in resolving customer issues. - Identifying, develop, and implement problem resolutions and follow standard practices and procedures. - Acting as a remote customer advocate for selected accounts. - Identifying and document with management to proactively revise current procedures and tools to improve customer satisfaction. - Developing and participating in solutions, trainings, and problem resolution skills development. - Validating technical information and issues early warnings and disseminate information as needed.

- Responsible for the migration of Juhayna’s core infrastructure from Wintel to Power7/AIX environment - Responsible for the availability and performance of Juhayna’s core IT industrial system. - Responsible for the delivery of a Disaster Recovery site for Juhayna core IT infrastructure based on PowerHA/XD . - Regularly praised for responsive support and the ability to quickly resolve complex issues. - Responsible for the integrity of backups for the entire Production, Quality, and DEV environments. - Maintaining systems low-level and high-level updates. - Deploying monitoring solution for the whole datacenter and production landscape. - Performed regular testing to verify failover and fallback of cluster resource group. - Managing the core business IT infrastructure including: a) 60+ AIX LPars on Power740/720 servers. b) 8 x VIO Servers. c) 2 x IBM Gen3 XIV System Storage. d) 9 x IBM Fabric (SAN) switches. e) IBM System Storage DS8000. f) IBM System Storage DS4800. g) IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Server. h) IBM System Storage TS3200 Tape Library. i) IBM System Storage TS3310 Tape Library. j) IBM x systems k) Linux servers

- End-to-End on-site installations and implementations of EMC/Smarts IONIX for Telecom operators, ISPs and large scale networks. - On-site installation and upgrade of E2E solution at Vodafone Egypt. - Remote support for the implementations team for Linux and environment adjustments. - Responsible for ITLogia’s core infrastructure and Virtual development lab. - Responsible for Compuware’s Server Vantage support for ITLogia’s customers. - Responsible for the delivery of an on-site E2E installation, configuration, and integration of an E2E solution for Telkom Kenya located at Kenya, Nairobi

- Tier/level 3 (T3/L3) Technical Support. - Responsible for TEData Systems design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance. - Responsible for 30+ linux based servers for various purposes including : a) TEData directory service. b) Messaging systems ( for TE-Data’s ADSL & Enterprise customers). c) Web-based E-mail systems interface for TEData customers. d) Authoritative, Caching, and Failover Name Servers in TEData’s POPs e) Terminal Access Controller Access-Control Systems. f) Centralized Logging System. - Responsible for implementing ADN (Arabic Domain Names) in TE-Data’s Name Servers ( dotMisr project). - 24/7 on-call support for Tier1, and Tier2 technical support

Day-to-day support of 50+ *NIX based operating systems, servers, and clients including: a) IBM system P5, P6 servers with AIX 5L, high availability and load balancing b) Messaging system (Qmail) under Linux Centos with spam filtering, and over 80+ domains. c) Primary and Secondary Authoritative Name Servers (120+ domains) d) Multiple Linux based servers with various functions (Oracle Application Server, firewalls,..) - Design, implementation, maintenance, management, and troubleshooting unix-based servers located in the datacenter. - Managing unix system's flavors, services and solutions such as nameservers, mail servers, firewalls, virtualization, clustering, monitoring, load balancing, and disaster recovery solutions. - 24/7 on-call support for Tier 1 technical support.
