1. Monitor and control the implementation of Permit to Work system, isolation, and the relevant certificates and record log. 2. Assist rig supervisors and crews with safety, training, accident prevention and hazard identification/control. 3. Conduct regular rig visits and actively observe any unsafe conditions or acts. 4. Assist rig crews in developing hazard identification skills via use of the Company’s Safety Observation and Correction (SOC) program. 5. Provide documentation and reinforcement for Company policies. 6. Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations. 7. Is focal point for post-incident management including preparation and submittal of incident reports and corrective action follow-up. 8. Regularly attend meetings such as Weekly Safety Meetings, Morning Operations Meetings, etc. 9. Conducts rig HSE Audits and Yard Inspections. 10. Monitors audits/inspections for action item completion. 11. Develops, revises, conducts and/or coordinates training such as Rig Pass, LO/TO, Fall Protection, etc. 12. Maintains safety and training activity records and logs as required by regulation and Company policy. 13. Coordinates Quarterly Safety Award Program and Yearly Rig Award Program. 14. Assists Operations in the implementation of the Emergency Management Plan including ensuring that local emergency numbers are current and posted. 15. Assists Rig Managers and rig supervisors in planning, analyzing, communicating, problem solving and leadership. 16. Serves as the “Designated Person” for the ongoing auditing of the Company’s Safety Policies. 17. 1. Represent the Company in a professional manner both on and off the job to include confidentiality of Company and client business. 2. To assist the Senior Toolpusher in ensuring compliance with all WDI policies and procedures. 3. Conduct audits and site inspections to ensure compliance with all WDI policies and procedures. 4. Conduct Induction Training for ALL personnel visiting or assigned to the site. 5. Conduct Training as required by the company / client or wherever a need is identified. 6. Monitor operations and offer assistance with regards to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments and Hazard Identification. 7. Eliminate any waste and establish a cost conscious planning effort within area of responsibility. 8. Promptly report any act or condition that conflicts with WDI policy or procedure. 9. Be knowledgeable of all Company safety policies and procedures including firefighting, emergency equipment, lifesaving equipment and emergency response. 10. Actively participate in safety discussions, safety drills and inspections. 11. Report all incidents or injuries to self or crew members which occur, regardless of seriousness. 12. Assist with meetings as required by the company. 13. Assist in any incident investigation and assist in collating the relevant documents to support the investigation.
