Duration: 1/2006 till present Role: Support for all corporate systems and networks, which includes Servers, Routers, Switches, CISCO & Polycom phones, CISCO VC devices, projectors, printers, laptops and desktops. Switches : Basic configuration & VLAN setup on Cisco 4900M, 4506E, 2960 Switches. Working on global ticketing tool (ServiceNow), to resolve the Incidents/Service Requests raised by the clients within the SLA. Facilitating IT induction for New Joiners on weekly basis. IT Asset Management - Management and maintenance of whole IT assets in the company which includes inventory update, monthly verification, asset procurement, etc. Provide support to all network related activities in the Datacenter and deployment of new IT projects. Coordination with external vendors when required. Maintain and provide support for IT equipment in corporate conference rooms (VC devices, Smart board, Projectors, Apple TVs, MAC Devices, iPads etc.) Maintain weekly, monthly and yearly scheduled data and mail backups and restore database as required; verify and validate the integrity of backups. Assisting with the deployment of hardware and software to end users including the installation, configuration and testing of more complex firm hardware. Assisting and coordinating in the repair of end user hardware and the reinstallation of software as necessary to resolve incidents. Resolving complex incidents associated with firm-standard end user software and hardware, including mobile/hand-held technologies. Identifying sources and trends of technical incidents to prevent future occurrences. Acting as a lead to less experienced specialists. Providing after-hours service for escalated issues from the Service Desk or supervisor. Operating as “remote hands” for other IT functions, such as Telecommunications and Hosting. Anticipating technology support issues, prioritizing tasks, interpreting information, and applying technical knowledge to facilitate the development and implementation of technical and business solutions to complex end user technology needs and issues. Working independently on small projects. Assessing the special needs of local area offices and engagements, and responding appropriately. Performing asset management activities (procurement, receipt, inventory, tracking, distribution, etc.) in accordance with firm policy and IT Service process. Documenting and tracking the status of inquiries, coordinating appropriate responses, and following-up to ensure end user satisfaction. Maintaining a thorough understanding of IT Services organization and service offerings in order to identify how best to address end user technology needs and incidents.
